This week we celebrate National Physical Therapy Month!
Meet Kohnley: Konley brings 6 years of experience to the Rehab Department. She enjoys working with her Residents and seeing the progress they make on a daily basis.
Ms. Velma Vailes admitted to Christian Care Center of Medina following a hospital stay as a result of a medical decline. Upon admission, she presented with increased weakness, poor balance, decreased safety awareness and impaired mobility resulting in increased assistance with self-care tasks.
Following 6 weeks of rehabilitation with our skilled rehab team, Ms. Vailes is discharging home independent with mobility with a front-wheeled walker and self-care independence.
When asked about her therapy experience at Christian Care Center of Medina, she states, “Caring, Patient and Delightful!” Ms. Vailes was a pleasure to work with and was always eager to engage in whatever her rehabilitative team came up with!

Dietary Appreciation Week: Meet Patricia. Patricia has been with Christian Care Center of Medina since 2023 and brings over 10 years of experience as a cook. She enjoys cooking from scratch and working with her coworkers and residents.

Mrs. Paula Patterson admitted to Christian Care Center of Medina following a hospital stay as a result of multiple falls at home as well as permanent pacemaker placement. Upon admission, she presented with increased weakness, decreased balance, poor safety awareness and increased assistance with self-care tasks.
Following four weeks of intensive rehabilitation with our inpatient rehabilitation team, she is discharging home completely independent with mobility, self-cares and instrumental activities of daily living.
When asked about her therapy experience at Christian Care Center of Medina, she states, “You all have been fantastic! I am extremely pleased with how well you all have helped me!”
